THE OLDESKARET TRAIL

Thanks to diligent restoration the ancient traveller’s way over Oldeskaret is once again open; this time for tourists and mountain trekking enthusiasts.

Easy to medium-steep trip. Rope safeguards along the steepest section, after which easy terrain up to the summit of Oldeskaret. You can also continue along the trail to Stardalen (7 km) and further into the national park. The trek offers superb views over Oldedalen valley - in a setting filled with the sound of joyful birdsong and cascading waterfalls.
